A division of the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), the Center was mandated and funded by legislative action to enhance the health status of rural citizens. The Center’s goal is to improve community involvement in health issues. The Center also serves as an information clearinghouse on rural health issues.
	National Farm Medicine Center (NFMC) is a not-for-profit program of Marshfield Medical Research Foundation, a division of Marshfield Clinic.
